Counselling for Women

Individual Counselling for Women

Holistic counselling offers a safe, supportive space to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, and explore what’s happening underneath the anxiety, stress and overwhelm of life.

Amy’s approach is grounded, holistic and non-clinical, looking at the whole picture – your thoughts, emotions, nervous system, relationships, past experiences and patterns, and how they interact together.

This work isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level strategies. It’s about creating meaningful, lasting change so you can move through life with more clarity, compassion and inner strength.

Over time, many people find themselves feeling steadier, more self-assured, more connected in their relationships, and more able to navigate life without becoming so overwhelmed by it.

If any of the following sounds like your internal monologue, you’re in the right place.
  • You feel things deeply,  sometimes too deeply, and you’re exhausted by the intensity of your own inner world.

  • You know your patterns… such as anxious attached, people-pleasing, overthinking but unsure how to  change them.

  • Conflict fills you with dread, even when you know you haven’t done anything wrong.

  • You’re hyper-aware of other people’s moods – shifts in tone, shorter texts than usual, moments that are too quiet and your nervous system responds before your brain has even caught up.

  • When things get to be too much you either fall apart completely… tears, catastrophising, spiralling… or you go so far in the other direction you can’t feel anything at all.

  • You feel like you are either on the hamster wheel of life trying to push ahead or in the pit of despair or on the edge of burnout.

  • You want the marriage, the family, the life you’ve pictured but there’s a quiet fear that you’ll bring all of this with you.

  • People in your life would describe you as thoughtful, kind and caring – someone who has things mostly together, but inside, you feel like it’s a different story.

“Working with Amy allowed me to really open and stand in my vulnerability. I discovered that I knew intellectually what was going on, but I wasn’t validating my own feelings.  Amy supported me with feeling my emotions without guilt or shame.” RS. Brisbane

Holistic Counselling for Women

You may already understand yourself deeply.

You might know your patterns, where they come from, and why you respond the way you do. But insight alone doesn’t always create change, especially when those patterns have been held in the body for a long time.

Holistic counselling offers more than just someone to talk to. It creates a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and begin responding to yourself and your life differently.

Together, we work with both understanding and experience, exploring not only your thoughts, beliefs and emotions, but also the ways your nervous system has learned to protect, brace, overthink, avoid or stay hyper-aware.

Over time, many women notice changes like:

  • feeling calmer and more secure in relationships
  • communicating more clearly and honestly
  • setting boundaries with less worry and guilt
  • feeling less emotionally reactive or overwhelmed
  • trusting themselves more
  • feeling more resilient even when life feels uncertain

The goal isn’t perfection or becoming someone else. It’s learning how to understand yourself, support yourself, and move through life with more clarity, compassion and inner strength.

“Amy helped me understand myself. She gave me strategies to find calm amongst the chaos. She welcomed me calmly and respectfully and created an environment that felt like I was exchanging my negative energy for new and revitalised energy.” KB. Gold Coast

If you’ve been feeling anxious, stressed or stuck and you’re ready to do something different, I’d love to talk.

You can book your initial session or free 15-minute conversation to see if this feels right.

If you’re not quite ready for one-on-one, the Be Your Best Program is a genuinely useful place to start. Think confident communication, effective communication and assertiveness training all in one.

It’s a small group and it’s practical. You’ll receive real tools for saying no and meaning it, setting a boundary without the guilt spiral that follows, saying what you actually mean in the moment instead of three hours later in your head, understanding why you keep ending up in the same dynamic and what to do differently. A lot of women find it cracks something open before they’re ready to go deeper.
